1.  Introduction

L-Threonine is an essential amino acid with the chemical formula C4H9NO3 and molecular weight of 119.119. It is a white rhombohedral crystal or crystalline powder, odorless and slightly sweet in taste. It was first discovered by W. C. Ro in 1935 in fibrin hydrolysate and proved to be the last essential amino acid to be discovered.L-Threonine has four stereoisomers, of which only the L-type is biologically active.

4.  Function Introduction
